THE END

Today is the last day to RSVP! There are still a lot of you who we haven’t heard from yet! Please let us know online or give us call.

We are pleased to announce that we got to witness a lovely wedding yesterday afternoon in Virginia. Our friends, Mae Condon and Christopher Carlson began their new life together and said their “I do’s” after the rain subsided. It was great to see everyone and to witness the exciting time in their lives.

As the remaining days to our wedding are slipping past, Kevin and I our getting more and more excited to see and visit with everyone. We can’t wait to show each other off to those of you who haven’t met us.

We look foward to seeing you all the end of the month and want to wish safe travels to everyone.

Marriage License

Kevin and I have the official permission of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to be wed. On Thursday evening we packed up the car and headed to western PA for a weekend of rafting and camping. Friday morning we went to Uniontown to the Fayette County Courthouse and applied for our Marriage License. We walked into the room where a woman asked “How can could help you?” To which Kevin replied “I want to marry this woman!” At this point we had the attention of the other five women in the room and all enjoyed a laugh before filing for the license.

Afterwards, Kevin drove me to Albright, West Virginia were I took a group of 5 guys down the Cheat River. It was a fun filled day were I learned a few lessons on the river, keep paddling through Log Jammer and that you don’t have to hit much of the curly wave at the bottom of Upper Coliseum to flip your boat and swim there!

After getting back into Ohiopyle, PA Kevin quickly changed clothes to take my Christmas gift, the shredder for those who have forgotten, on its maiden voyage! It was a quick loop trip before I had CPR training but one of the best trips ever!!

We were joined for camping by Meg and Adrian later that night. On Saturday, Kevin joined me on the trip down the Cheat River!!! After four years of horror stories about the dangers and mishaps on the Cheat he was probably more than a little hesitant to gear up and face the water. It was a beautiful day and the water wasn’t very high not to mention he had a great guide in his raft!! I think he enjoyed himself.

On Sunday morning after breakfast, Meg and Adrian geared up to face the Loop of the Lower Youghigheny River! The loop is the first 7 rapid that go around a peninsula that brings you back close to town!

RSVPs Rolling In!

The RSVPs are rolling in! According to my calculator on our master guestlist Google spreadsheet, we have 12.32% of our responses back. It’s exciting! There was a question about the bar situation, so here it is: We will be having an open bar with beer, wine, and a special vodka-based drink that Kelsey is coming up with. We’re going to arrange transportation to and from the event so people don’t have to drive if they plan on imbibing. Any other questions you have, post them on the guestbook and we will respond!

Database Server Crash

The shared database server crashed today. If anybody was on the site and saw a bunch of crazy error messages and no content, that’s why. When I noticed it I put up a message indicating that the site was undergoing maintenance. My apologies to everyone who was unable to access the site today. However, I will point out that it wasn’t my fault – the hosting company dropped the ball on this one.
