We froze strawberries for Kevin’s shakes this winter… and for the girls to eat… mostly for the girls probably.

Year two of the composter means that this is the first second batch of compost- started with a banana peel.

We had a Robin family make a nest under our porch it was fun watching them make the nest, lay the eggs, feed the babies and fly away.

Okay not everyone- but with all the new upgrades to our house for the arrival of another family- Kelsey helped Rayleigh build a “house” from the cardboard complete with windows, curtains, a fishbowl, stove and sink!- (no running water)

When Autumn and the girls visited in mid June her two girls and Rayleigh enjoyed “playing” nap in the bed!

Kevin joined in on the cardboard house fun after work. He added some finer details to Rayleigh’s interior design.

We’ve moved the picnic table to the porch to allow Kevin to do work outside (we added outdoor outlets too). But the practical consequence has been MANY more meals eaten at the table!

And Markers galore- she needed a bath but had a blast making the mess!

Since the aquarium trip Rayleigh has been asking to see fish daily- here is her pet fish in the cardboard house. (With light to see it!)
